Protect Your Money: Avoid Frauds and Scams

Scam victims come in all ages, but the Plus 50 individual is a more frequent target of those who try to take your hard-earned money! Learn more about how to protect yourself against investment fraud and charity scams by attending one of the following free workshops – open to adults of all ages!

These sessions will be conducted by the Investor Education Specialist for the NC Secretary of State Securities Division. You will also be given an opportunity to ask questions during the workshops.

Caregiving Information Session: Prepare to Care

Are you a caregiver? Are you caring for a family member or are you interested in a career as a caregiving companion? Learn more about caregiving and about our upcoming program designed to help family caregivers and in-home companions. AARP representatives will give a presentation on “Prepare to Care” that will help you understand more about caregiving in general and about the steps you will need to take to prepare to be a caregiver. Information about spring Plus 50 courses on caregiving will also be provided.
